Privacy Policy

Version 1.0  ·  Effective date: 1 January 2025  ·  Last updated: 23 February 2026

1. Introduction

Switch ("we", "us", or "our") is a service-booking platform that connects customers with merchants offering health, fitness, wellness, and lifestyle services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use the Switch platform — whether as a customer, merchant, or visitor.

By accessing or using Switch, you agree to the practices described here. If you have questions, you can reach us at privacy@switchapp.in.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information you provide

  • Account details: name, phone number, and email address.
  • Profile information: profile photo, bio, and preferences you voluntarily share.
  • Booking data: services booked, dates, times, and associated notes.
  • Payment information: we accept payments through secure third-party processors. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
  • Communications: messages or support requests you send us.

2.2 Information collected automatically

  • Usage data: pages visited, features used, time spent, and actions taken within the app.
  • Device information: device type, operating system, browser, and IP address.
  • Session and log data: error logs and performance telemetry to help us improve reliability.

2.3 Information from third parties

  • Authentication providers (e.g., Google) if you sign in via a connected account.
  • Merchant-provided data such as booking records, pass assignments, and attendance logs.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to deliver and continuously improve the Switch experience:

  • Booking & account management — creating and managing your bookings, passes, and profile.
  • Payments — processing transactions securely through our payment partners.
  • Personalised insights — we use aggregated and anonymised activity data, powered by AI, to surface relevant service recommendations, attendance trends, and wellness insights tailored to you. This helps you make the most of the services you love.
  • Merchant tools — giving merchants useful analytics (e.g., popular slots, attendance rates) so they can serve you better.
  • Notifications — booking confirmations, reminders, and service updates you opt in to.
  • Safety & fraud prevention — detecting and addressing misuse or security threats.
  • Legal compliance — meeting applicable legal obligations.

4. AI-Powered Features

Switch uses artificial intelligence to help you discover relevant services and understand your wellness journey. Our AI analyses patterns in your booking history and engagement — not your raw personal data — to generate insights like "you tend to book morning sessions" or "services similar to ones you enjoy."

This processing happens on aggregated, pseudonymised data. We do not use your personal information to train external AI models, and we do not sell your data to any AI companies or data brokers.

5. Sharing of Information

We share your information only in the ways described below. We do not sell your personal data.

  • With merchants — when you book a service, the relevant merchant receives your name, contact details, and booking information to fulfil that booking.
  • With service providers — trusted vendors who help us operate (e.g., cloud hosting, payment processors, analytics). They are contractually bound to protect your data.
  • For legal reasons — if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of users.
  • Business transfers — in the event of a merger or acquisition, your data may transfer to the new entity under the same privacy commitments.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. Certain records (e.g., transaction history) may be retained for a legally required period even after account deletion.

7. Data Security

We apply industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit (TLS), access controls, and regular security reviews. While no system is completely immune to risk, we work proactively to protect your information and will notify you promptly in the unlikely event of a breach that affects you.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Data portability — receive your data in a structured format.
  • Withdraw consent at any time where processing is consent-based.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@switchapp.in. We will respond within 30 days.

9. Cookies & Tracking

We use session cookies for authentication and functional cookies to remember your preferences. We may use analytics cookies to understand how the app is used in aggregate. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings, though some features may not function without essential cookies.

10. Children's Privacy

Switch is intended for users aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.

11. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top and, for material changes, notify you in-app or by email. Continued use of Switch after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
